PUNE: The Pune Metropolitan Regional Development Authority (PMRDA) says the first day of the Hinjewadi-Shivajinagar Metro could be announced this week.
PMRDA officials say the land acquisition plan is nearing completion on the highway and Pune Municipal Corporation has given greater approval to the University’s flight plan, as well as demarcation sites. For the project company – Tata -Siemens – to start the project.
Once the first day is announced, work will begin simultaneously in eight locations along the 233.3km route, officials said. The Center for Development reported that pre-engineers and geotechnical research projects have been completed, but 70% of the workspace has been closed; soil testing, first services, and betting work, to begin with.
The road connects Mann, near Hinjewadi IT park, and Shivajinagar Local Council. Officials said it would take 40 minutes to complete the return trip on the other side of the road, which includes 23 places for the first time – 35 years.
