Short-term rental company Vrbo said the demand for pet-friendly vacation rentals on its platform increased by 40%. Because so many Americans care about their pets, Vrbo has launched vacation homes for dogs.
Vrbo has ordered five limited-edition dog beds, inspired by the most popular rental types on the platform. The alcoves include a luxury chalet with a cozy fireplace for an apron; beach house with the checkered roof; A trendy rusty frame; a modern farm with water and food station; and a mid-century bungalow with dog and garden.
“We inspected many of our homes this year and had a well-deserved break from the holidays,” said Alison Kwong, spokesperson for Vrbo. “Although people can easily book accommodation in Vrbo for a relaxing holiday, our pets also deserve a quiet place to get their paws back. Families love to take their pets on vacation and stay together in pet-friendly vacation homes. … With this limited-time dream set, families can spend their faithful companions on a very special dog-friendly holiday this Christmas season.
