The Assam Assembly introduced the law on the protection of the interests of landlords and tenants

GUWAHATI: The Assam government on Monday introduced legislation to establish Rent to modify rental housing to protect the rights of landlords and tenants and provide a mechanism to resolve disputes.

The new law was enacted under the Model Lease Act imposed by Kabin on June 2, 2021, for implementation in all states and territories of the United States.

With the passage of this new bill, the Assam Urban Rent Act, 1972, will be repealed.

There is no financial burden in the financial situation because of the Bill.
